Esta fiesta ‘no oficial’ de disfraces tendrá lugar el jueves 15 de noviembre

A escasas horas de que se inicien las Fiestas Mayores Patronales de Benidorm, la ciudad ultima los detalles para otra celebración que tendrá lugar justo al término de éstas: el Fancy Dress, la fiesta ‘no oficial’ de disfraces fundamentalmente protagonizada por turistas británicos y que cada año congrega a decenas de miles de personas en la zona de ocio del Rincón de Loix.

La previsión del Ayuntamiento es que al menos 35.000 británicos participen del Fancy Dress, que “se ha convertido en una cita ineludible para miles de turistas del Reino Unido, muchos de los cuales desde hace años hacen coincidir sus vacaciones en Benidorm con esta celebración”, ha indicado el alcalde, Toni Pérez. Tanto es así, que “el Fancy Dress está incluida en nuestro calendario de eventos y es un reclamo para el público británico y también cada vez más para turistas de otras nacionalidades y para residentes de Benidorm y de otras localidades de la comarca”.   

Más de 30 establecimientos, entre locales de ocio y hoteles de la zona, participan en la organización del Fancy Dress, que empezará a partir de las 14.00 horas. Por tercer año consecutivo, el jueves 15 de noviembre se celebrará un desfile de carrozas organizado por Ociobal, que partirá de la avenida del Derramador y recorrerá las calles Gerona y Cuenca hasta finalizar en la calle Lepanto.

Desde el Ayuntamiento y la organización ya se ha ultimado el dispositivo sanitario y de seguridad para el evento, que prevé “un refuerzo importante para que el Fancy Dress transcurra con las mayores garantías”. Este dispositivo estará compuesto por: 15 auxiliares de seguridad que se encargarán de tareas de control, información y acceso; una ambulancia de Cruz Roja; y efectivos de Policía Local, del Cuerpo Nacional de Policía y de Protección Civil.

Además, el concejal de Seguridad Ciudadana, Lorenzo Martínez, ha informado que durante el evento se realizará la segunda prueba del sistema anti-drones de la Policía Local, que se estrenó durante el pasado Iberia Festival. Martínez ha recordado que este sistema impide que cualquier aeronave pilotada por control remoto no autorizada sobrevuele las concentraciones de personas, evitando así el peligro que lleva aparejado esta práctica; y ha aclarado que “se trata de una tecnología completamente segura porque no utiliza medios físicos para derribar los drones, sino que neutraliza las frecuencias de radio y GPS haciéndolos aterrizar en zonas seguras”.
