La Nucía hosts «Cambridge English Exams» for the fifth year


Last Saturday, June 9th at the University Headquarters of La Nucía, the first shift of the Cambridge University English examinations was held in 2018. 60 students were examined by Young Learners Exams (Starters, Movers (A1) , Flyers (A2). For the fifth consecutive year La Nucía is the official headquarters of the Cambridge English Exams examinations in the Baixa Marina district. Next Saturday, June 16, will be held the second shift with the exams of B1 Preliminary English Test (PET) and A2 Key English Test / KET).

These examinations are organized by Cambridge University with the collaboration of the Australian Academy of La Nucia, the Academy of La Nucia, the Chatterbox Academy, the University Headquarters of La Nucia and the Department of Education. These exams included students from La Nucía, Calpe, Benidorm, Alfàs del Pi, Callosa d’en Sarrià, Benimantell, Polop, Finestrat, Altea and Villajoyosa.

60 students

60 young learners from 7 to 14 years of age did the Young Learners Exams (children and pre-adolescents) exams in Starters, Movers (A1), Flyers (A2), on Saturday, June 9, on the first day of the «Cambridge Exams» 2018, at the University Headquarters of La Nucia. In this way, for five years, the nucieros and nucieras do not have to move to Alicante to carry out the official English exams in Cambridge.

Second turn

Next Saturday, June 17 from 9 in the University Headquarters of La Nucia, students registered for B1 Preliminary English Test (PET) and A2 Key English Test (KET) will be examined by the «Cambridge Exams». The Cambridge 2018 exams will end on Saturday June 23 with the third turn: B2 and C1 and special teens A2 and B1.

Increase demand

2014 was the first year that the Cambridge University English exams were conducted in La Nucia, so that all those interested did not have to move to Alicante until 2013. In the first year (2014), 43 students were examined at the University Headquarters, In 2015 they were 129, in 2016 150 were examined and in 2017 the figure has increased to 186. This year, the best expectations have been exceeded with 274 registered, almost 100 more than last year.
