In order to respond to the demand of a bilingual and private center that provided the current British education system in the area in 2002 opened The English School. The center has new and modern facilities offering an educational alternative, focused on multiculturalism. At present the school has students of different nationalities and a team of native teachers from United Kingdom. The school provides the current British curriculum for pupils aged 2 to 16 years.

By the hand of Don José Garrigós, in 2002 he opened his doors at Mutxamel The British School. In a modern and new building this school was installed in which the current British curriculum is taught. The school, a clear commitment to multiculturalism as it is attended by students of different nationalities, together with a large group of Spanish children, has the Official Certification of the British Council of the United Kingdom and with the authorization of the Ministry of Education and Science Of the Generalitat Valenciana

In the English School of Mutxamel a team of native teachers from the United Kingdom works, accepting children from 3 to 16 years old. The Pedagogic Board of the center represents the essential support to clarify and support all parents who need to understand the special characteristics of the British education system.

The British education system has two years of preschool education. The students accede to this first educational stage with three years and conclude with 5. In this period the only vehicular language is English. Primary Education, is divided into two cycles and extends from 5 to 11 years. An important part of this educational stage are the Weekly Assemblies. In them they are treated in a playful and didactic way aspects related to the values ​​that are tried to transmit, besides facilitating the coexistence between students of different ages, which favors a climate of respect and appreciation among students, a hallmark of the center. Secondary Education involves children from 11 to 16 years of age. The children begin at this stage teaching by teachers specialized in each subject. At the end of this three-course course students take the final exams, Cambridge Checkpoint, which evaluate externally the level reached by students in subjects such as English, Science and Mathematics.

Spanish curriculum

At this educational stage the studies corresponding to the Spanish language and culture are taught by professors of Spanish nationality who, in turn, are coordinated by a head of Spanish studies. Students from 6 years of age have several weekly sessions for Spanish and Valencian Language, as well as Spanish Culture.
